The accommodation we have available in 2024 is twin share furnished tents ie with beds and linen, towels and soap. These tents are located away from the main camp ground. Facilities are share.

• Room rate single is $105.00

We offer takewawy meals from the kiosk in the campground or you can utilise the Camp kitchen at the cabin tent site and there is 24hr power in the kitchen and the amenities block. Camp kitchen has a fridge, electric toaster, gas BBQ and kettle, catering utensils, crockery.

Please byo foods and condiments to self cater.

It's only a short 70m walk to the river from this site.

There are lovely bush walks you can do. We have a collection of memorabilia and photos showing the history of the Telegraph Station as well as small shop with cold drinks, ice creams, souvenirs, tea and coffee (we have a limited selection of hot food/bread/milk). The river is beautiful at that time though we do not advise swimming in any of the cape area rivers and water systems due to the salt water crocodiles that are found across the top of Australia. There is a lovely fishing hole which we call the barra hole (600m from the cabin tents) and just as it is named, barra, saratoga, bream and jew-fish can be caught year round. If you are a bird watcher you will be surprised at the species that can be found along the river.
